The new ultra-lounge to take over Manhattan is the progeny of a partnership made in nightlife heaven. Mansion New York is the inspired creation of Eric Milon, the entrepreneur credited with re-launching the American Riviera on Miami’s South Beach, and Mark Baker, the godfather of New York City nightlife.
.
Within the 10,000-square-foot Main Ballroom with its 35-foot dome ceiling resides The powerHouse Library, the centerpiece of the mezzanine. Featuring a selection of powerHouse Books’ latest releases and classic backlist titles, the Library will host an exclusive series of launch parties and private receptions in conjunction with art shows in the gallery.

Mansion New York combines the warm intimacy of a private London club with the high style and glamour of Manhattan. Designed by Francois Frossard, the man behind venues in Miami, Las Vegas, and Europe, Mansion is a warm, luxurious 1940s Hollywood-style setting with modern amenities—including a 20-foot fireplace at the entrance, a gallery of monthly art and photography exhibitions, ivy-covered walls, Pucci fabric upholstered sofas with their own platforms for dancing, and tables with built-in champagne buckets. Patrons are treated to aerialists, ribbon performers, contortionists, dancers, and opera singers, as well as signature cocktails by renowned mixologist Gregory Seider.
.
As with all venues created with Milon and Baker, customer service is the key to Mansion. “There’s a huge emphasis on service and providing everything the customer needs or wants,” says Vanessa Menkes, Vice President at the Opium Group. “There is bottle service throughout the club as well as bespoke cocktails. Mansion can cater to all tastes, all walks of life, and the point is, at Mansion everyone is like a VIP.”
