I’ve learned so much from speaking with Laurence Rasti about her work, just published in “There Are No Homosexuals in Iran” (Edition Patrick Frey), and with Lilla Szász, who got to know a “family” of sex workers in Budapest and connected with them until the tragic end.

Both Laurence and Lilla are reminders of the power of the photograph – and the person behind the camera – to change the way we see, experience, and understand the world.
