Whether kicking back with celebrated Harlem haberdasher Dapper Dan to share his story in the F18 issue of Dazed or penning the “Art Outsider” column for the very first issues of Whitewall magazine, Miss Rosen has brought her original take on art, music, and culture to the glossies since she launched her career writing art and nightclub reviews for the Village Voice back in ’97.

In the intervening decades, her work has appeared in glossies including L’Uomo Vogue, Grey, Bust, Swindle, King Kong, and Jocks & Nerds – well as websites including AnOther, AnOther Man, Aperture, Dazed, Feature Shoot, Huck, Crave, L’Oeil de la Photographie, The Undefeated, Vice, and Vogue. She has also contributed to books for Carlos Batts, Janette Beckman, Bronx Museum of the Arts, Dennis Busch, Joe Conzo, Roger Gastman, Arlene Gottfried, Pedro Paricio, Harvey Stein, Allan Tannenbaum, and Trolley Books.

While working as Marking Director for powerHouse Books from 2000 – 2009, Miss Rosen established Miss Rosen Editions, her own imprint featuring authors such as Charlie Ahearn, Boogie, Martha Cooper, Danielle Levitt, and Ricky Powell. In 2006, she took the reigns as editor, creative director, and advertising director of powerHouse Magazine, a twice-annual publication produced in conjunction with exhibitions Miss Rosen curated at the powerHouse Arena in Brooklyn.

Since 1999, Miss Rosen has worked with book publishers, galleries, artists, and authors to conceptualize and execute a diverse array of publicity campaigns, branding initiatives, corporate partnerships, and special events including exhibitions, parties, performances, and lectures. Highlights include events such as Brett Ratner’s Hilhaven Lodge launch party at Robert Evans’ Beverly Hills estate, “We B*Girlz: A 25th Anniversary Breakin’ Event at Lincoln Center Out of Doors”, and the Vandal Squad panel discussion at the powerHouse Arena; and corporate partnerships with Timberland, VH1, and Boost Mobile, among others.

Miss Rosen has lectured at Columbia University, the International Center of Photography, and the School of Visual Arts, all in New York. Her work has been featured in aRUDE, Eyemazing, Juxtapoz, Paper Magazine’s 9th Annual “Beautiful People” Issue, Photo District News, Spread ArtCulture, and Style Monte Carlo. She received her bachelor’s degree from The City College of New York and her Master’s Degree from New York University. She lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
